Brgy. Ginebra used a suffocating first quarter defense then held off the repeated rallies by the Coca-Cola Tigers for an 84-77 win in the 2008-2009 KFC PBA Philippine Cup at the Olivarez Sports Center in Paranaque.

The Kings, already saddled with injuries, missed top scorer Jayjay Helterbrand through a groin injury, but Ronald Tubid, who finished with 22 points, and Sunday Salvacion, with 21, made timely hits in the fourth to keep the Tigers at bay.

The win, the Kings' third straight, evened their record at 6-6 and forced a five-team logjam for third spot with Air21, Sta. Lucia, Rain or Shine and Talk 'N Text.

Jayjay missed the game today @ Olivarez Gym due to SWOLLEN GROIN which he kept as a secret to the team...but the coaching staff knew it, so they didn't forced Jayjay to play...good thing that the team did not take it negatively but instead, they stepped up & play as if they're already in the finals.
Just the same, Chris still can't play. But we are still praying for their quick recovery.
